Dr. Koffend is an advocate for early hearing identification and rehabiliation. She is a consultant for the Guam EHDI Program (Early Hearing Detection & Intervention). Dr. Koffend provides newborn hearing screening training to hospital staff at the Guam Memorial Hospital and Sagua Minagu.
